Compare Tiers — Performance Breakdown
See how each tier performs across resolutions, refresh rates and game types.
Based on real-world performance data across AAA and esports titles.
How to read this page
Before you dive into the charts, here’s how to read the data at a glance.
FPS (Frames Per Second)
FPS is how many images your PC can render every second. Higher FPS = smoother motion, lower input latency, and a more responsive feel — especially in competitive games.
Refresh Rate (Hz)
Your monitor’s refresh rate is how many times per second it can display a new frame. Common refresh rates: 60Hz, 120Hz, 144Hz, 165Hz, 240Hz, 360Hz+.
FPS vs Refresh Rate
Your PC and monitor work together:
-
If your PC outputs 120 FPS but your monitor is 60Hz, you only see 60 FPS.
-
If your PC outputs 300 FPS and your monitor is 240Hz, you see 240 FPS — but still benefit from lower latency.
-
Esports players often chase 240–360Hz because it reduces input delay and makes aiming feel more responsive.
AAA vs Esports Performance
-
AAA FPS = visually demanding games (Cyberpunk, Starfield, Elden Ring).
-
Esports FPS = competitive titles where high FPS matters more than graphics (Valorant, CS2, Fortnite).
Performance Labels
To keep things simple, we use:
-
Excellent — ideal for high refresh rate gaming
-
Strong — smooth, high‑quality gameplay
-
Playable — good experience with reduced settings
-
Weak — not recommended for this resolution/game type
These labels come directly from real‑world FPS ranges in our testing data.
