Animus — Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 27 February 2026
These Terms & Conditions form the contract between Animus (“we”, “us”, “our”) and you, the customer (“you”, “your”). By placing an order through our website or via any Animus sales channel, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
These Terms work alongside our Warranty & Aftercare Policy, Refunds & Returns Policy, Shipping Policy, and Privacy Policy, all of which are incorporated by reference.
1. About Animus
Animus is a UK‑based boutique PC builder specialising in intentional, high‑performance systems built to order.
Registered in the United Kingdom.
2. Orders & Contract Formation
A contract is formed once we accept your order and confirm it via email.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order (for example, due to stock issues, suspected fraud, or pricing errors).
You are responsible for ensuring all order details are accurate before checkout.
3. Product Information
We aim for accuracy in all product descriptions, specifications, and imagery.
Minor variations in components (e.g., brand of RAM or SSD) may occur where performance and quality are equivalent or better.
Any such substitutions will never reduce system performance or reliability.
All systems include a pre‑installed, unactivated copy of Windows 11. A valid licence key is required for activation and is the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise stated.
4. Pricing & Payment
Prices are listed in GBP and include UK VAT where applicable.
Payment is taken at checkout.
For eBay purchases, eBay’s payment and buyer protection terms also apply.
Chargebacks made without first contacting us to resolve an issue may delay or void warranty support.
5. Build Times & Availability
Estimated build times are provided on each product page.
These are estimates, not guarantees, but we always aim to meet or beat them.
If delays occur, we will notify you promptly.
6. Shipping & Delivery
Our Shipping Policy forms part of these Terms.
Key points:
Delivery times are estimates provided by the courier.
Risk passes to you once the system is delivered and signed for.
You must inspect the package on arrival and report any transit damage within 48 hours.
7. Warranty & Aftercare
Our Warranty & Aftercare Policy forms part of these Terms.
Important notes:
Warranty covers hardware faults, not accidental damage, misuse, or user‑induced issues.
Overclocking, BIOS modification, or installation of unsupported components may void warranty.
We are not responsible for data loss — always back up your files.
8. Returns & Cancellations
Our Refunds & Returns Policy forms part of these Terms.
Highlights:
You may cancel before your build enters production.
Once production begins, cancellations may incur a restocking or labour fee.
Custom‑built PCs are exempt from standard change‑of‑mind returns under UK law, but we still handle each case fairly and transparently.
9. Customer Responsibilities
You agree to:
Provide accurate information during checkout.
Ensure compatibility of any third‑party parts you install.
Use the system in a normal, responsible manner.
Not attempt repairs that may cause further damage unless authorised by us.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by UK law:
We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost income, lost data, or downtime.
Our liability is limited to the value of the product purchased.
Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights.
11. Intellectual Property
All Animus branding, product photography, descriptions, and website content are owned by Animus and may not be copied or reproduced without permission.
12. Errors & Omissions
If we discover a pricing or specification error, we may correct it and either:
give you the option to proceed at the correct price, or
cancel the order and issue a full refund.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes will be handled exclusively by the courts of England and Wales.
